The Hocking Hills
The Hocking Hills Region covers a large area of southeastern Ohio and includes some of the Midwest's richest natural areas. Hocking Hills State Park, Lake Hope State Park, Zaleski State Forest and Wayne National Forest are just a few of the many natural wonders close to Majestic Vacation Homes' Liberty Lodge.
Hocking Hills State Park - Features 25 miles of hiking trails through deep recess caves, pockets of towering hemlocks and breathtaking cliff views. The five main hiking trails are Ash Cave, Cedar Falls, Old Man's Cave, Conkle's Hollow, Rock House and Cantwell Cliffs.
Lake Hope State Park - Includes a mountain bike trail, historical iron furnace and a nature center.
Zaleski State Forest - Offers a backpack trail and miles of forested hiking trails.
Wayne National Forest - Features numerous activities including ATV and horseback riding trails and hiking trails.
Hocking Hills State Park Regions
Ash Cave - 1/4 mile gorge trail and 1/2 mile rim trail leading to Ohio's largest recess cave with waterfall.
Cedar Falls - 1/2 mile trail through towering hemlocks leading to a waterfall.
Old Man's Cave - 1 mile trail with breathtaking views of waterfalls and huge rock formations.
Conkle's Hollow - Rim trail and gorge trail with awesome cliff overlooks.
Cantwell Cliffs - Unique rock formations and wildflowers.
Rock House - Only true cave in park system where Native Americans once visited.
